You also can select a day or time slot and create a new appointment or event. Keep track of appointments, meetings, or any other event from anywhere. Add, edit, or delete events using daily, weekly, or monthly views.
Although it's not possible at the moment to turn the feature off entirely, you can choose to remove it from your favorites list by right clicking the folder and selecting Remove from Favorites. To help you get rid of these duplicates, we have released a fix which will automatically clean up your contact list. This fix will clean up duplicate contacts for end users starting August 9, 2023. Rollout of the fix to all users will take few weeks, so, some users may see the fix applied by the end of September. To import contacts from other email services, export contacts, or clean up duplicate contacts, select an option from the Manage contacts menu. Add a contact to your Favorites by selecting a contact in the list, and then selecting Add to favorites. When you add someone as a favorite in People, they'll also show up under Favorites in Mail, and the other way around, provided that the contact has an email address. There might also be a visual alert that a message is unread, has an attachment, or is flagged. This is a lightweight app designed to handle multiple accounts and fairly moderate email use. Follow these steps to let Outlook diagnose and fix errors in your Outlook mail profile that might be causing the issue. You can create a new Outlook Data File and drag the items in the Lost and Found folder into the new data file. After you've moved all the items, you can remove the Recovered Personal Folders (.pst) file, including the Lost and Found folder. To create a new Outlook Data File, go to Create an Outlook Data File. The steps to access the repair tool vary depending on your operating system. If you can't open Outlook, or Outlook disappears or crashes, one of your add-ins may be to blame or you may need to update Outlook.
Similar to our earlier suggestion of repairing Office (see #3 Repair Your Microsoft Office above), perform the same steps except choose to Uninstall. Be aware that you may need your product key if you received one. Microsoft has its own tool for automatically scanning and correcting Office when things go awry. You can read about it and then run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to see if that helps. It can automatically diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and fix problems with Outlook. This happens to accounts that are configured in the iOS Mail app. The loading of unregistered MAPI services has been disabled by default to make Outlook more secure. To access the calendar shared with your Microsoft 365 for business account, you'll need to accept the invitation from Outlook on the web, iOS, or Android. If you've already clicked the Accept button in Outlook 2016, you won't be able to re-accept the invitation from another Outlook application. The person who sent you the invitation will need to remove your permissions and then send a new invitation. If you typically use an Outlook.com account for email, this issue can occur if there are multiple aliases on the account and the 3rd party email address is the primary alias.
As @ode2joy said, clearing out the user’s profile usually works, which is a more thorough procedure than just deleting .nst and .ost files. When something goes wrong with Outlook, Microsoft Outlook repair tips and tricks recommends that we start it in Safe mode. Simply that Outlook will be loaded without your add-ins and customization files. Originally, the freezing would only occur when I actually tried to do something. So, if I tried to open a message, search my inbox, write a new email, go to the calendar, etc., it would freeze up for about 5-10 seconds at a time. The freezing never seemed to occur when I had Outlook open but was not using it.
